Grindelwald & Lauterbrunnen -Alpine Highlights – Private Tour

4 hours

Easy

A private tour to the Jungfrau region's two icons: Grindelwald beneath the Eiger, and Lauterbrunnen, the valley of 72 waterfalls.
  • See Grindelwald set directly beneath the north face of the Eiger
  • Stand below Staubbach Falls, a 297 m free-fall and one of Europe's highest
  • Explore Lauterbrunnen, the UNESCO valley of 72 waterfalls that inspired Tolkien's Rivendell
  • Two of the most photographed alpine villages in Switzerland in one trip
  • Private car, door to door from Interlaken — no train changes, your own pace

This private tour covers the two villages that define the Jungfrau region. First, Grindelwald: a classic alpine village spread across green slopes directly beneath the Eiger's famous north face, with the high peaks rising on every side. Then over to Lauterbrunnen, a deep glacial valley walled by sheer cliffs and home to 72 waterfalls — the most famous, Staubbach Falls, drops 297 metres in a single free fall right beside the village. The valley's dramatic scenery is said to have inspired Tolkien's Rivendell after he visited in 1911. You'll travel between them by private car, straight from your Interlaken accommodation, with time at each stop to walk, photograph, and take it in — no timetables, no crowded train carriages, just your group and a local driver.
